Sorry but "half-Jewish" is like half-pregnant......you either are or you're not. As defined by millenia-old Jewish Law, one's Jewishness comes from the mother & NOT the father. Only in the eyes of the secular world or nazis are the lines blurred.
ReplyDeleteYou can have a jewish mother and a non-jewish father and be half-jewish. The reason that your religion was based on the mother was because they couldn't tell who the father was. Now we can. I don't believe that Jewish Law would conclude that you are only jewish if you mother was jewish now since we can now know if the biological father was jewish. Either way, your genes are only half from a jewish parent.
