Zac Efron is a Jew. The actor was born Zachary David Alexander Efron. While he is Jewish and born to a Jewish mother, he grew up agnostic and has never practiced Judaism.
According to Wikipedia, Efron was “born in San Luis Obispo, California and later moved to Arroyo Grande, California. His father, David Efron, is an engineer at a power plant, and his mother, Starla Baskett, is a former secretary who worked at the same power plant as Efron’s father. Efron had a self-described “normal childhood” in a middle class family, and has a younger brother, Dylan. Efron is of Jewish ancestry and is an agnostic, having never been religious.”
Zac Efron and Lily Collins were dating, but as of June 2012 the couple has parted ways.
“Efron” in Hebrew means “lark,” as in the singing bird.

I am quite sure that Zac Efron was not born of a Jewish mother. His grandfather Harold Efron was the son of Polish Jewish immigrants to New York, making Zac's ancestry 25%. But his grandmother Dorothy Karcher wasn't (isn't?) Jewish, and I would guess neither is Zac's mother.
ReplyDeleteAn actor who looks somewhat like Zac Efron, but is 100% Jewish, is Logan Lerman.
Hey you race obsessed people (even though jews are NOT a race, just a very simple religion lol),
ReplyDeletehis mother was not a "jew", so in terms of your blood obsessed "nonsense" he's not a jew :-) HORAH!
I am in love with Jewish boy name Zachary David Alexander Efron baskett as personal by Beverly Ann Clark
ReplyDeleteZac Efron wasn't born of a Jewish mother. His paternal grandfather was Jewish and his other three grandparents were not Jewish. But Zac did describe himself as Jewish once.
