Lance Armstrong is not Jewish. The man famous for winning more Tour de France cycling competitions than any other cyclist and then being disgraced amid doping charges, is Christian.
Armstrong was born to Linda Gayle (née Mooneyham), a secretary, and Eddie Charles Gunderson, a route manager for The Dallas Morning News. His great-grandfather was the son of Norwegian immigrants. He was named after Lance Rentzel, a Dallas Cowboys wide receiver. His parents divorced when Lance was two and his father has two children from another relationship. His mother later married Terry Keith Armstrong, a wholesale salesman, who adopted Lance in 1974. Armstrong refused to meet his birth father.
Armstrong began dating singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow in late 2003 and revealed their relationship in January 2004. The couple announced their engagement in September 2005 and their split in February 2006. In December 2008, Armstrong announced that his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, was pregnant with his child. The couple started dating in July 2008 after meeting through Armstrong's charity work. Although it was believed that Armstrong could no longer father children, after having undergone chemotherapy for testicular cancer, this child was conceived naturally. The baby boy, Maxwell Edward Armstrong, was born in 2009 in Aspen, Colorado. Armstrong announced the birth via Twitter.

I beg to insist that Lance Armstrong is victim of Unequal Justice, when the world system along with its policing and Judiciary, are all deeply dependent and conformed to values other than acceptable and clean morality.
ReplyDeleteToo much too fast and too far in the case of Lance. I maintain that Lance is still an athlete to reckon with... the doping accounts for a faint boost to his overall athletic prowess. That's the end of the matter. Stop crucifying Lance Armstrong when the whole world is deeply embedded in treachery- whether it is war, finance, politics, industry and daily life jeopardising the poor and the helpless. There might be war, the poor, and the helpless in this bent up world. But, Lance Armstrong is still a liar--he really manipulated his power--and a doper. That being said, he's apologized, done some great charity work, and has still shown a love for the sport. Give the guy a second chance. But don't make him out like he's got no baggage.
