According to Wikipedia he is a fifth-generation Texan who once resided in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, he holds dual citizenship, being a citizen of Antigua and Barbuda and a United States citizen. He has been the prime subject of huge Ponzi scheme investigation dating back to February of 2009.
It was reported today, March 6, 2012, that a Houston jury found him guilty on almost all charges involving a $7 Billion Ponzi scheme. Many of the investors that were bilked were charitable organizations.
